What is Pilates?
Pilates is an innovative and safe exercise technique that requires mind/body coordination while using a mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the Joseph Pilates method and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates principles include breathing, concentration, control, centering, precision, whole body movement, balanced muscle development, rhythm and flow and relaxation.
What Do I Wear?
Wear anything you can move comfortably in! Nothing too loose or too tight. Anything you might wear to the gym or a yoga class will be perfect. You will have the option of being barefoot or wearing socks. No shoes required.
Can I Do Pilates If I’m Pregnant?
Absolutely! All of our teachers are trained extensively to work safely and effectively with pre and post-natal clients. Please notify your instructor of your condition prior to class so that appropriate modifications can be made.
